Montcalm County Central Dispatch Facebook Page Have you ever wondered how 9-1-1 works, how YOUR 9-1-1 is funded, and what the $2.85 charge per device you are paying is for and why? I would love the opportunity to answer your questions, and give you a behind the scenes look at our center. I look forward to seeing many new faces, and would love to see people leave as passionate as we are about where Montcalm County Central Dispatch is today and where we will be tomorrow.
Montcalm County Central Dispatch will be posting event dates/times for you to come, ask questions, and see for yourself what we have been doing with YOUR surcharge funds and what the plans are moving forward. YOU ARE ALL PART OF THIS TEAM. As we schedule meetings, let me know if you would like to see different day/time options.
Our current surcharge rate of $2.85/device is set to expire next year. We have collected this rate for over a decade as our sole source of funding. We have been approved to place the renewal of the current $2.85 rate as well as a $0.15 increase on the May ballot. This will allow us to collect not more than $3.00 per device. (The same rate the counties surrounding us are currently collecting). I would like the opportunity to answer all your questions.
